David Packard
Entrepreneur
American entrepreneur who co-founded the Hewlett- Packard Company. Also a high-ranking government official, he served during the Nixon administration as United States Deputy Secretary of Defense.
After graduating from Stanford University, he worked for the New York branch of the General Electric Company.
He and his wife founded the Monterey Bay Aquarium Foundation in 1978 and established the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute a decade later.
With his wife, Lucile Salter, he had three daughters and one son.
He served as U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense during Richard Nixon's presidency.
