American businessman known for being the former President and CEO of Wal-Mart. He became the sole owner of the MLB's Kansas City Royals in April 2000.
He was raised in Mountain View, Missouri and attended Missouri State University.
He was named Retailer of the Year in 1986 and 1991. He was inducted into the Retailers Hall of Fame in 2000.
He had children named Don, Dan and Dayna.
He served as the President of Wal-Mart, which was founded by Sam Walton in 1962.
