David A Carter
Children's Author
An American children's author and illustrator, he is best known for his popular Bugs series. He also collaborated with his wife, Noelle Carter, on several books, including I'm a Little Mouse and Merry Christmas, Little Mouse.
He worked as a graphic designer in the 1970s. He published his first children's book, How Many Bugs in a Box?, in 1988.
His twenty pop-up Bug series books have sold over six million copies.
He was born in Salt Lake City, and he later studied at Utah State University. He had two daughters, Molly and Emma, with his wife, Noelle Carter.
He designed the cover art for Chris Martin and Johnny Buckland 's Coldplay album, Mylo Xyloto.
