Dave Irwin

Former alpine skier who competed in the 1976 Winter Olympics in Austria and the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid and won the 1975 World Cup downhill event.
He learned to ski when he was only 3 years old.
He was in a coma for three days in 2001 due to a skiing accident; when he recovered, he started the Dave Irwin Foundation for Brain Injury.
His father owned a ski resort in Ontario, Canada.
Hockey player Glenn Anderson also competed for Canada in the 1980 Olympics.
