Bassist best known as the original bassist for the seminal punk rock band The Stooges. Some of the band's popular songs include Search and Destroy and Gimme Danger.
He met brothers and Stooges members Ron and Scott Asheton in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He tragically died of pulmonary edema at age 27.
His family relocated from Whitmore Lake to Ann Arbor when he was a child.
He and The Stooges, led by frontman Iggy Pop, revolutionized punk rock and changed the face of rock music.
