He was drafted in 1999 by the West Coast Eagles after playing with the West Australian Football League's Perth FC.
He was given the title of All-Australian soccer full-back in 2011, 2007, and 2006.
He wed Alicia Severin in 2007, and the couple had two children early in their marriage.
He played alongside Chris Judd on West Coast from 2002 to 2007.
