Well known to Australian TV viewers as Conrad De Groot on Crownies. In the U.S., he may be best known as Jack Thornton in the series When Calls the Heart or Petty Officer James King in the ABC drama Last Resort.
He got his start on Australian TV in a pair of episodes on Home and Away in 2006 and followed that with a couple of episodes in Out of the Blue.
He appeared in films such as Entwined as the character of Aiden and The Cure as Ryan Earl.
He was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He has a sister and is an uncle to his niece Charlie. Lissing married his partner Nadia in early 2020.
He shared the screen with Andre Braugher in the series Last Resort.
