Daniel Arnold
Photographer
Photographer who found acclaim standing outside the New York City Clerk's Office in May 2017 where he photographed a wide variety of wedding celebrations. He captures his images with an iPhone.
He found support from Gawker in 2012 after being censored for posting topless photos to his Instagram of beachgoers at Fort Tilden.
He only had $40 in his bank account in March 2017, so he sold 4-by-6 prints of his photographs for $150 each to his Instagram followers. In a day, he was $15,000 richer. He has over 320,000 followers on the platform.
He is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He took a photo of a boy on the subway wearing a sweatshirt that read, "AIDS." He pranked the media into believing James Franco bought a copy.
