Football Coach
He began his coaching career in 1993 as a positions coach at Valdosta State, and made his head coaching debut in 2011 for West Virginia University.
He played college football from 1991 to 1992 for Iowa Wesleyan College.
In his first year at West Virginia he led the Mountaineers to a 70-33 victory over Clemson in the Orange Bowl.
He raised three children with Candice Holgorsen, whom he divorced in 2005.
In his first year at West Virginia he coached quarterback Geno Smith.
