Dakota Jones

Runner and outdoorsman who is known for having finished 2nd in the Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run in 2011 at the age of 20. He has also maintained a blog wherein he documents his various running-related accomplishments.
He began his career in ultra long distance running while a senior at Durango High School in Colorado. His first experience in this field was in a volunteer capacity for the Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run. He went on to attend Colorado State University, where he majored in English.
In 2014, he finished second at The North Face Endurance 50 Mile Championships. As a teenager, he completed 13 ultraruns of 50k or longer.
He was born in Casper, Wyoming, and raised in Colorado by his parents Steve and Beth Jones.
He and Yiannis Kouros both participate in the sport of ultrarunning, with both having completed runs of 100 miles or longer.
