Japanese driver who has become one of the most recognized drifters in the world by winning competitions like the the Formula D Championship Series. He has also driven in commercials for companies like EA Sports and Spike TV.
He rode bicycles and motorcycles before getting his first car, a 1985 Toyota Corolla Levin, at age eighteen.
He has starred in the documentary web series Behind the Smoke, which won a Bronze Telly Award for Best Online Video Reality Show in 2012.
He is originally from Hachioji, Tokyo.
He and American driver Tanner Foust are both Formula D Champions.
