English actor best recognized for both his theater and television roles. He is best recognized for having starred as the plant director Viktor Bryukhanov on the 2019 series Chernobyl.
He started his career as an actor performing at the Everyman Theater. He went on to make his television debut in 1983 when he starred on the series One Summer.
He won the Laurence Oliver Award in for his role as Mickey in the 2006 production of Blood Brothers.
He was born and raised in Weston-super-Mare in Somerset.
He starred alongside Diogo Morgado and Andrew Scarborough in the 2013 mini-series The Bible.
