Famous as the older brother of star NBA point guard Chris Paul, C.J. Paul is also notable as his brother's athletic manager.
Before finishing his college basketball career at the University of South Carolina-Upstate, C.J. Paul was a scholarship-holding basketball player at Hampton University in Virginia.
He and his then-not-yet-their younger brother faced each other in a 2004 collegiate basketball game (between Wake Forest University, where Chris Paul played, and USC-Upstate, where C.J. was a student athlete).
The first child born to Charles and Robin Paul, he grew up in Winston-Salem and Clemmons, North Carolina, and later relocated to Los Angeles, California. He is the uncle of Chris and Jada Paul's children Chris Paul II and Camryn Alexis.
Like brothers and fellow North Carolina natives Seth and Stephen Curry, CJ and Chris Paul both played college basketball.
