Flight engineer on Expedition 35 to the International Space Station. He has experience as a CAPCOM or capsule communicator.
He became a Navy SEAL and earned the rank of Commander in the U.S. Navy.
His first spaceflight was on the Space Shuttle Endeavor in 2009.
He married and had three children.
He is an astronaut like legendary Alan Shepard.
