She attended the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She graduated in 1988.
She is often considered a celebrity mother, in that publications often have her answer questions from mothers around the world who are seeking advice. Her Q&A's have appeared in such magazines as GlamoMamas and MommyJourney. She has won the PMPC Star Award for Best TV Morning Show Host.
She was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She married fellow TV host Julius Babao in 2003. They gave birth to a son, Antonio, in 2010.
Her hometown of Manila is the site of boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao's home.
