Earning the title of Miss New Jersey USA was a goal of hers since her junior year of high school.
She began studying marketing and Spanish at Rutgers University.
Born in India, she would move to the United States when she was 4 years old.
She finished just behind Kára Deidra McCullough for the honor of being named Miss USA.
