Beauty pageant titleholder crowned Miss USA 2019 after previously being named Miss North Carolina USA 2019. She was the third woman from North Carolina to win Miss USA.
She attended the University of South Carolina and graduated from the Darla Moore School of Business with a degree in marketing and human resource management. She was also part of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and women's track and field team.
She graduated with a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration in 2017 from the Wake Forest University School of Law. She worked as an attorney and was the founder of the fashion blog White Collar Glam that helped women dress professionally.
Her father was Polish American and her April Simpkins, a former Mrs. North Carolina US winner, was Black American.
American history was made in 2019 as the year marked the first time that all African American women were crowned Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss America. She was joined by Kaleigh Garris and Nia Franklin as the latter two titleholders, respectively.
