Chase Twichell
Poet
American poet, publisher, and academic known for Horses Where the Answers Should Have Been, a 2010 poetry collection. Her other poetic works include The Ghost of Eden, Northern Spy, Perdido, and Dog Language.
She studied at Trinity College and at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She published her debut poetry collection, The Odds, in 1986.
Her 1998 collection of poems, The Snow Watcher, shows the influence of her study of Zen Buddhism.
Born in Connecticut, she settled in New York with her fiction writer husband Russell Banks.
She, like Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Alan Dugan, was born in the northeastern United States.
