He played for Bishop Gorman High School before being scouted for some of the best college basketball teams in the country.
Before accepting his spot in the Duke Blue Devils, he was scouted by the Arizona Wildcats, the Kansas Jayhawks, and the UCLA Bruins.
He is from Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was recruited to the Duke Blue Devils by coach Mike Krzyzewski.
