Computer scientist and cryptocurrency expert who founded Litecoin. He is also the managing director of the Litecoin Foundation. His satoshilite Twitter account, which has accumulated 1 million followers, features information on cryptocurrency and the global economy. He is the former Director Engineering at Coinbase. He spent ten years at Google early in his career.
In 2000, he graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a BA and an MA in Computer Science.
He did not intend for Litecoin to rival Bitcoin but rather it to be used for smaller transactions than Bitcoin.
He was born in Africa but moved to the U.S. when he was 13.
Larry Page is also a computer scientist, as well as co-founder of Google.
