Charles Miller

Saxophone player and flautist for the funk band War whose vocal work made "Low Rider" a hit.
He played a variety of woodwinds, piano, and guitar before taking up saxophone; his music career did not take off until he sustained a football injury in college.
He was murdered in Los Angeles in 1980 and no one was arrested or charged.
He was married to Eddie Miller and had two daughters and two sons.
Miller performed with Howard Scott in War.
