Charles Major
Novelist
An American author of historical novels, he published his first work, When Knighthood Was in Flower, in 1898. He often wrote under the pen name of Edwin Caskoden.
After graduating from the University of Michigan, he opened his own law practice. He also had a brief political career.
He published several children's adventure stories.
He grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He later married Alice Shaw Major.
His novel, When Knighthood Was in Flower, is set in England during the reign of King Henry VIII.
