Charles Davenport
Biologist
American eugenicist and biologist who was known as one of the leaders of the American eugenics movement.
He earned a Ph.D in biology from Harvard University in 1892 and became a professor of zoology.
He founded the Eugenics Record Office in 1910 and the International Federation of Eugenics Organizations in 1925.
He married Gertrude Crotty in 1894.
He showed much respect to fellow scientist Francis Galton's biometric approach to evolution.
