He graduated from the University of Georgia with an English degree and was intending to pursue a career in screenwriting.
In addition to writing for HowStuffWorks, he wrote for the Discovery Channel.
He married Emilie Sennebogen in Decatur, Georgia.
He co-hosts Stuff You Should Know with Josh Clark.
