She began working when she was 16, working as a production assistant on commercial shoots. She moved into fashion when she got a job in the costume department on a Le Cirque du Soliel Mexican tour.
She is the Mexican ambassador of Veuve Clicquot.
She considers New York her second home, and lives between there and Mexico City.
