Her mother, Vivian Carreras Murphy, is an avid adventurer and posts photos of her own travel escapades on Instagram. Her girlfriend, Janelle, is also popular on Instagram.
She became friends with YouTubers Camden Scott and Shannon Beveridge, and they attended the Bonnaroo music festival together in June 2014.
