Politician and diplomat who was the Prime Minister of Sweden from 1991 to 1994, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2014.
He studied at Stockholm University.
He is an active blogger, and started his first blog in 2005.
He was married to Kerstin Zetterberg from 1974 to 1975, and Mia Bohman from 1984 to 1997. He had children Gunnel and Nils with the later. He married Anna Maria Corazza Bildt in 1998. They have a son, Gustaf.
In February 1994, he sent an email to Bill Clinton. It became the first publicly known electronic message sent between two heads of government.
