He began his professional soccer career when he joined the Liverpool academy league, the Ringmahon Rangers, in 2015.
He is the 12th Irish player in over 100 years to win the Champions League when Liverpool won in 2019.
He is the younger brother of Fiacre Kelleher, who plays soccer with Bradford City. He has three other older brothers.
He and Virgil van Dijk have been teammates for Liverpool FC.
