Wife of neurosurgeon and former candidate for President of the United States, Ben Carson. She has written four books with her husband such as America the Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made This Nation Great and A Doctor in the House: My Life with Ben Carson.
She went to college at Yale University and received her MBA from Johns Hopkins.
She is a former concert violinist, having performed with the Yale Symphony and the University of Maryland Medical Center Chamber Players.
She has had three sons with Ben Carson, Murray, Benjamin Jr., and Rhoeyce.
She was played by actress Aunjanue Ellis in the TNT made-for-TV movie Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story, which aired in 2009.
