She played volleyball while attending the University of Calgary.
She is also an author and released her second book, Candice Olson: Kitchen & Bathrooms, in 2011.
She had two children, named Piper and Beckett, with her husband, Jurij Sennecke.
She hosted HGTV programming, as did Color Splash host David Reed.
