His parents met while his father was filming his music video for his single "What's Left of Me" in 2006. His father had previously risen to fame as a member of the boy band 98 Degrees.

His two younger siblings' names are Brooklyn and Phoenix.
His mother and father married on Sir Richard Branson's private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands in July 2011.
