Calvin Smith

Sprinter who won a gold medal in the 4x100M relay at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, and a bronze medal in the 100M at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul.
He set the 100M world record on July 3, 1983, while a member of the University of Alabama's track and field team.
He won two gold medals at the 1983 World Championships in Helsinki, and another one at the 1987 World Championships in Rome.
His son, Calvin Smith Jr., also became a professional sprinter.
Carl Lewis was one of his teammates on the Olympic gold medal winning 4x100M team.
