Cal Cunningham

Politician who ran as the Democratic nominee for North Carolina's US Senate seat during the 2020 election cycle. He has served in the US Army Reserve as a part of the Judge Advocate General's Corps, and served as a North Carolina state senator between 2001-2003.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with his degree in political science and philosophy and law degree. He also obtained his MS in public policy and administration from the London School of Economics.
He previously ran unsuccessfully for the US Senate seat in North Carolina occupied by Richard Burr in 2010.
He and his wife share two children.
He ran against Thom Tillis for the North Carolina US Senate seat during the 2020 election.
