Canadian right winger who began playing for the Minnesota Wild in 2007. He was traded to the New York Islanders in 2013.
He began his youth career at age 15 with the Ontario Hockey Association's Welland Cougars.
He broke the league record for hits, in a game against the New York Islanders in the 2008-2009 season with 356; this was in turn broken by Matt Martin in 2012.
He married his longtime girlfriend, Cassie Depalo, in 2011.
He joined Mikko Koivu on the Wild in 2007.
