She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her BA in broadcast journalism.
She was named Miss North Carolina USA in 2017. She was later named the first runner-up at Miss USA 2018.
She and her boyfriend Dean Unglert bought a house in April 2021. The couple owns a dog named Pappy.
