As a teenager, he began working as a journalist for a variety of different newspapers. He then made the transition into radio and by 1991, he began appearing on television as a journalist and broadcast host for a variety of different programs and channels.
He has covered a wide range of historical events in his career including the Chernobyl accident and several World Cups and Olympic games.
He was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He is known for having covered the death of Princess Diana.
