Italian composer, conductor, and violinist best known for compositions like Studio di Fonologia Musicale and his work on films like 1968's La Morte Ha Fatto L'Uovo.
He began taking violin lessons at age four.
He was drafted into the Italian army during World War II but he joined the anti-fascist group Partisan Resistance shortly thereafter.
His grandfather was able to see his prodigious talent from an early age.
He conducted the Alban Berg piece Orchesterlieder Nach Ansichtskartentexten von Peter Altenberg in 1968.
