About
Inspired by the Newsboys Strike of 1899 in New York City, the musical itself would be based on a 1992 film of the same name. It lasted from 2012 to August 2014 and played 1,005 performances.
Trivia
The musical won Tony Awards for Best Choreography and Best Original Score, and earned Drama Desk Awards in similar categories.
