Super middleweight and middleweight who has won the USA Texas State Middleweight title, the IBA Intercontinental Super Middleweight Title, the WPBF International Middleweight Title, and the WBO NABO Middleweight title.
He made his professional debut in 2004 against Avien Cooper and then went on to win the first 14 fights of his career.
His first loss was aired as part of the ESPN series The Contender in 2007.
Both his father and brother were professional boxers as well, his father being a two-time heavyweight IBA champion.
He defeated Sergio Mora on two different occasions in 2011 and 2012.
