Brian Kobilka
Chemist
Received the 2012 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on G protein-coupled receptors. He is also the co-founder of ConfometRx, a biotechnology company.
He attended Yale School of Medicine and the University of Minnesota.
He used to work at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and he became a member of the National Academy of Sciences in 2011.
He has two children with his wife Tong Sun Thian.
He shared the Nobel Prize with his colleague Robert Lefkowitz.
