She launched her modeling career at age sixteen after being discovered on the street by modeling manager Agencia Mega.
She was born suffering from complete hearing loss.
She spent her youth in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she grew up training as a swimmer.
She is a contemporary of fellow Brazilian model Leticia Birkheuer.
