Professional MMA fighter who competes as a Flyweight in the UFC who is best known for his executions of his submissions, his most-used submission being the rear-naked choke. He is also known as The Assassin Baby.
He made his professional MMA debut in his native Mexico in April of 2011. In 2014, he would debut for the World Fighting Federation where he would eventually win the Flyweight championship.
He was cast in the 25th season of the Fox Sports show The Ultimate Fighter where he was placed on Team Benavidez. In 2021, he became the first Mexican-born champion in the UFC.
He was born and raised in Tijuana, Baja California in Mexico.
As a fighter for the UFC, he remains amongst the ranks of other UFC legends including Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Jon Jones, and Randy Couture.
