She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies before earning her MBA in Sustainable Business.
She designed jewelry in India and ran a small business for more than two decades. She also spent 10 years on the board of a nonprofit theater company.
Her husband passed away when Dove was 15 years old. She raised her kids in Seattle, Washington. In August 2021 she married Simon Bate.
Her eldest daughter Claire did not pursue the Hollywood route like Dove.
