She also protested Executive Order 13769, more commonly known as the Muslim ban, enacted during Donald Trump's presidential administration. She is the author of Making Our Way Home: The Great Migration and the Black American Dream. Her blairimani Instagram account documents her work in various communities and has accrued 430,000 followers.
She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2015. During her time at LSU, she founded Equality for HER (Health & Education Resources), a forum that aims to provide resources to LGBTQ women and women of color.
