Billy Daniels

American performer who is best remembered for his recording of the song "That Old Black Magic" and for his appearances in such Broadway productions as Memphis Bound, Hello Dolly!, and Golden Boy.
He moved to New York City in 1935 to study law at Columbia University; however, he soon became a singing waiter, nightclub singer, and radio performer, instead.
He earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to a postman father and an organist mother. He married his third wife, Pierrette Daniels, in 1955.
He starred with Pearl Bailey in a 1975 all-black Broadway production of Hello, Dolly!
