Beth Chamberlin
Soap Opera Actress
While playing Beth Raines on CBS's Guiding Light, Chamberlin was nominated for a Daytime Emmy and two Soap Opera Digest Awards. She appeared on the series from 1989 until 1991; briefly reprised her role in 1994; and then rejoined Guiding Light's cast from 1997 to 2009.
Before beginning her daytime television career, she trained at the American Ballet Theater and studied theater and dance at New York University.
She guest starred in episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Blue Bloods, and Columbo.
She grew up in Danville, Vermont. She and her husband, Peter Roy, later settled in upstate New York with their son Lucas.
Actress Judi Evans was the original Beth Raines on Guiding Light; Chamberlin took over the role in 1989.
