Comedic actor who became known for his role in the Carry On films. In 1993, he appeared in Leon the Pig Farmer, and in 1971, he played Avarice in The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins.
He was a student at Coopers' Company's School in London.
His catchphrase in multiple films was "I only arsked," which he said with a strong Cockney accent.
He was married to Betty Wright from 1959 to 1993.
He was considered for the role of the creature in the 1957 film, Curse of Frankenstein, but because of his height, the role was given to Christopher Lee instead.
