The West Coast Eagles selected him 33rd overall in the 1993 AFL draft.
He played for the Brisbane Lions from 1997 to 2001.
He was born in Maffra, Victoria, and his father Graham Robbins was a pro Australian rules footballer.
Nathan Thompson also played for the Kangaroos.
