American trumpet player and vocalist who was a founding member of The Bar-Kays.
He was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was the only survivor of the 1967 plane crash.
He married Shirley Cauley in 1970.
He performed and recorded alongside legendary singer Otis Redding.
