Barbara Kendall

Former boardsailor who won gold in the 1992 Olympics, silver in the 1996 Olympics, and bronze in the 2000 Olympics.
She attended Macleans College in Bucklands Beach, Auckland.
After she was done competing, she became a member of the International Olympic Committee.
Her brother Bruce Kendall was a two-time Olympic medalist in sailing.
She was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1993; John Lennon received the same honor in 1965.
